Maggiano’s Brings Live Comedy and Other Special Events to Vernon

Everybody knows Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurants offer delicious Italian food and a great atmosphere, for everything from an intimate date night, dinner with family and friends, or large parties in a private room, for birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. Upcoming events at the Vernon Hills restaurant, located at 307 Hawthorn Center, includes Drink What You Like. Like What You Drink, on September 20th, and Kids Cooking Class – Chicken Parmesan, on September 23rd.

On October 8th, Maggiano’s Little Italy in Vernon Hills will totally break the pasta bowl when they serve something funny with Dinner and a Good Laugh, a special night of dinner and live stand-up comedy featuring some of the Chicago area’s funniest veteran and up-and-coming comedians.

Not too long ago, enjoying live comedy in Vernon Hills was just a quick drive over to Zanies Comedy Club, in the Hawthorn Village Commons mall. The closing of the venerable club, in 2011, after nearly 20 years at the location, left a void in northern suburbs that the upcoming show at Maggiano's aims to fill.

The lineup of the upcoming stand-up comedy showcase, co-produced by Funnier By The Lake Comedy and Best Corporate Comedy, both of Highland Park, includes Ricky March as host, comedians Katie Meiners and Michelle Krajecki, and headliner Jim Flannigan. Each comedian features at clubs throughout the country. Krajecki is a founding member of High Fiber Comedy Show, and Flannigan is a regular at Zanies in Chicago and the suburbs. His headlining debut at Zanies Chicago is September 11th.
