New COVID-19 Rapid Testing Facility Opens In Vernon Hills
Rocket Testing currently has seven rapid testing facilities in the Chicago area.
VERNON HILLS, IL — A new drive-up rapid COVID-19 testing facility has opened in Vernon Hills. Rocket Testing, which currently has seven locations in the Chicago area, announced its newest location at the Hawthorn Mall, 122 Hawthorn Center, is now up and running.
No appointment is necessary, and testing is available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday through Sunday. Those driving in for a test should head through the Route 60 main entrance at the mall.
Those stopping by to get a test can remain in their car while they wait, according to the Rocket Testing Facebook page. The test takes just minutes, and results are typically available in 15 minutes.

The cost for the test is $175. Rocket Testing will provide customers with a receipt, which can be submitted to insurance companies for possible reimbursement.
