Police Investigate Several Gunshots In Vernon Hills

VERNON HILLS, IL — The Vernon Hills Police Department said their officers were called to the area of 16 Parkside Court at 11:22 p.m. Saturday for several 911 calls regarding gunshots. According to a news release from the police department, police officers found a gun and several spent shell casings outside an area apartment. Police talked with several people on site and determined no one was hurt, according to the news release.

The police department said no one was arrested, and the incident is still being investigated. Police added that the incident appears to be an isolated one with no threat to the community.
