Road Improvements Happening This Week In Vernon Hills

Work crews will re-stripe Greenleaf Drive, Indianwood Drive and Westmoreland Drive this week, according to the village.

VERNON HILLS, IL — As part of the village’s commitment to making its streets safer and easier to navigate, additional road enhancements are planned for this week as part of the 2021 Road Rehabilitation Project.

Beginning Monday, June 14, a pavement marking contractor for the village will re-stripe Greenleaf Drive, Indianwood Drive, Westmoreland Drive and other miscellaneous areas within the village's road rehabilitation project.

Residents of Greenleaf Drive are asked to not park on the streets during the hours between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Final restoration of the disturbed areas throughout the entire job will take place later this year, according to the David H. Brown, the village's director of public works.

Residents with any questions or concerns can contact the village's public works department at 847-367-3726 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
