These 25 Illinois Restaurants Won a Special Statewide Award

The Illinois Office of Tourism has honored 25 restaurants with its “Delicious Destinations” award, which recognizes popular eateries that are considered staples in their communities and unique to the state.

From the Wisconsin border to the southern tip of Illinois, you can find good eats in just about every part of the state. And if there’s a restaurant you believe to be one of a kind (no chains) and is not on this list, you still can nominate it since there’s no deadline for submissions.

See if one of your favorite local food joints is a recipient of the award. At the very least, you’ll have some restaurants to add to your bucket list.
