Vernon Hills Cross Country Team to Host Summer Training Challenge
The eight-hour long relay event is set for July 19.

Vernon Hills High School Cross Country coach Jason Rush has organized a Cross Country Summer Training (XCST)Â Challenge set for July 19, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The event is open to all Illinois High Schools and running clubs. Each team participating will have seven runners take part in one-mile relay. The Challenge will raise money for Vernon Hills, the newspaper reports. Teams from all over the northwest suburbs have already joined, including Libertyville High School and several adult running clubs. For more information, head to the XCST Challenge website.Â
