Vernon Hills Police Seek Owner Of Found Parrot
A Jenday Conure was spotted in the area of Route 83 and Fiore Parkway on Sunday morning.

VERNON HILLS, IL — The Vernon Hills Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding the owner of a parrot found around town on Sunday. The Jenday Conure parrot was taken in by the police department after the bird was spotted in the area of Route 83 and Fiore Parkway, authorities said.
The bird is in good condition and currently being cared for by Lake County Animal Control. As of 9 a.m. on Monday, the bird's owner has not yet been found, said Jeff Hemesath who handles crime prevention and evidence with the Vernon Hills Police Department.
Authorities are asking anyone who knows who the owner of the bird is to call 847-362-4449.
