Village Of Vernon Hills: Buffalo Grove Road Bridge Work

The Lake County Division of Transportation will be performing maintenance work on the Buffalo Grove Road bridge over Indian Creek within the Villages of Buffalo Grove and Vernon Hills. The work entails removing the existing bridge railings, galvanizing and painting the railings before reinstalling them on the bridge. Pedestrian traffic will be open on both sides of the bridge through the use of temporary fencing and concrete barrier walls. 

There will be no disruption to vehicular traffic except for an occasional lane closure to install the temporary protection measures for pedestrians. 

Work is expected to take place over the next several months and the railings will be reinstalled later this summer.
