Basketball Tournament To Be Held In Humboldt Park

The three on three tournament will offer trophies and McDonald's gift certificates to winners.

CHICAGO — The Salvation Army will be hosting a basketball tournament on Sunday, Sept. 23, in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. The tournament is free to enter, and the event will also offer a free lunch at noon.

The tournament will kick off at 12:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Freedom Center — 825 N. Christiana Ave., however participants are asked to attend church at 10:30 a.m.

Every team must have a child and an adult — the third member is your choice. There are two leagues: League Samuel is for teams with children 10 years old and under, and League David is for teams with children 11 years old and older.

Trophies and McDonald's certificates will be awarded to winners in both leagues.
