The Big Lebowski Pop-Up Bar To Open In West Town

CHICAGO — The Dude is coming to Chicago's West Side just in time for The Big Lebowski's 20th anniversary. The Rookery will be hosting a pop-up in celebration of the cult film, and of course, plenty of White Russians will be offered.

The pop-up will open on Friday, Dec. 21, on The Rookery's second floor. With dozens of holiday pop-ups across the city, the restaurant at 2109 W. Chicago Avenue wanted to "shake things up" and celebrate "Dudism," its owners said.

The Rookery Beverage Director, Alex Brick, has crafted the following drinks that are inspired by the characters and novelties of the movie:

• The Big Lebowski: Evan Williams Bourbon, maple, benedictine, cream, coffee Bitters
• Little Lebowski: Fugu Horchata Vodka, Kahlúa, lemon, cream, egg white, chocolate cereal, chocolate bitters, soda water, burnt marshmallow
• Nobody F***s With The Jesus: aguardiente, Blanc vermouth, creme de violette, amaro Meletti, orange bitters, butterfly pea flower extract
• Shut The F*** Up, Donny: Three Sheets barrel-aged rum, curaçao, falernum, Peychaud’s bitters, Angostura bitters, Folgers instant coffee
• Bunny’s Toe: peach brandy, Champagne, Peychaud’s bitters, gummy toe
• The Nihilist: black sesame/honey syrup, Gosling’s black strap rum, CH amargo de chile
• World of Pain: malört, aperol, Beefeater gin, orange juice, Angostura bitters

The Dude's Abode: The Big Lebowski Pop-Up will run until mid-February, Wednesdays through Fridays.
