
CHICAGO — A teenager was shot in the head and killed Sunday in the Pilsen neighborhood, police said. The 16-year-old was driving and stopped at a red light, when shots were fired from another vehicle, according to police.
The boy was shot at 9:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Canalport Avenue, and he drove his car into an embankment, authorities said.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Area Central detectives were investigating. No one was in custody.
