Chicago Police Shoot, Critically Wound Person On West Side

CHICAGO (CBS) — A person was shot by Chicago police officers late Friday morning in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side. Chicago Police Department spokesman Tom Ahern tweeted that shots were fired by and at officers on the 1500 block of North Laramie Avenue.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said a person who was shot in the head was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
