CPD To Host Gun Turn In On West Side
Officers will give a $100 Visa gift card for a gun with "no questions asked," police said.
CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department has announced a gun turn-in will be hosted on the West Side this Saturday, Jan. 26. Officers will be accepting guns at the Friendship Baptist Church in the Austin neighborhood.
People can drop off guns from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 5200 W. Jackson Blvd.
For each gun, a $100 Visa gift card will be offered, police said, and a $10 gift card will be offered for BB-guns, air guns and replica guns.
