Julie Johnston Presents $5,000 Check to Frazier Magnet School
The USA Women's Soccer champion helped recognize the West Side school for an achievement in the "Game Plan for Success" contest.

CHICAGO, IL - Julie Johnston, a USA Women's Soccer champion, presented a West Side school with a $5,000 check this week to recognize their recognition as a runner-up in the Illinois "Game Plan for Success" contest.
Johnson, who plays for the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women's Soccer League, interacted with students while presenting the check Wednesday at Frazier International Magnet School at 4027 W. Grenshaw.
Just recently, Chicago Cubs ace pitcher Jake Arrieta presented a check in the same amount to Arcadia Elementary School in south suburban Olympia Fields, the winner of the "Game Plan for Success" contest in the Chicago area. Duke Ellington School in Chicago was another runner-up.

The contest, held on behalf of "Be a Learning Hero," recognizes schools that encourage students to work hard and practice their skills by holding them to high expectations.
