Logan Square Restaurant To Be Featured On 'Check, Please!'
Restaurants in Logan Square and Uptown will be highlighted on the show.

CHICAGO — The Emmy-winning local restaurant review series "Check, Please!" will continue its 18th season this week with visits to eateries in the city's Uptown and Logan Square neighborhoods. Hosted by Alpana Singh, a local restaurateur and master sommelier, the show will air on Friday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m.
The show will highlight the restaurant Quiote, submitted by Luke Pyzik of Logan Square. Owner Dan Salls opened the spot in 2017, and it has since been recognized by Michelin Guide in both 2017 and 2018 with a Bib Gourmand. The restaurant serves farm-to-table Mexican cuisine that's often influenced by Japanese, French and Southern techniques.
The episode will also feature the vegan restaurant Kal’ish in Uptown, submitted by Victoria Slone of Lincoln Square. The eatery is known for its flavorful dishes that are highly-reviewed by vegans and non-vegans alike. The restaurant offers a vegan take on the good old American classics: burgers, fries, sandwiches and baked goods.

The popular Montarra Grill in Algonquin will also be featured in the episode. Executive Chef Joshua Lynn has created a diverse menu of modern American cuisine. With a twenty-foot water wall and a Chihuly-inspired chandelier, the restaurant's owners said they want their patrons to experience "downtown Chicago without the drive."
The episode will air on Friday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m.
