Now You Can Get Your Own Chance The Snapper Bobblehead
You can have your own commemorative Chance the Snapper bobble, brought to you by the same people who created the Sister Mary Jo bobblehead.

CHICAGO — If you were among the Chicago-area residents who were devastated by the trapping of Chance the Snapper, take heart. You can relive the glory days of the Humboldt Park Gator thanks to a commemorative bobblehead brought to you by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
Located in Milwaukee, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum also brought us bobblehead tributes to Chicagoland legends Sister Jean, Sister Mary Jo, Pat Hughes, Ronnie Woo Woo and many more.

According to the museum, the bobbleheads feature Chance the Snapper partially submerged in water with a danger sign across the back of the base. His head and tail will both bobble, and the base of the creation includes his name, Humboldt Park Lagoon and the dates of his stay in the lagoon.
News of Chance's capture came Tuesday morning, after the intrepid gator spent a full week in the lagoon. The people of Chicago welcomed him with open arms — naming him, creating Facebook events revolving around him and even giving him a voice with not one but two Twitter accounts.

Chance's glory days came to an end early Tuesday. After days of eluding capture at the hands of Chicago authorities and local reptile expert Alligator Bob, Chance was scooped up just hours after the arrival of Alligator Robb — Frank Robb, a gator expert from Florida.

Alligator Robb also had his time to shine, throwing out the first pitch Tuesday night at Wrigley Field, flipping the switch on Buckingham Fountain and making the local media rounds.
Now, you can relieve Chance's heyday for only $25 (plus $8 shipping) by ordering your own Chance the Snapper bobblehead.
The limited edition bobblehead is now available for pre-order online and is expected to arrive in October. Each bobblehead will be individually numbered and come in a collector’s box.
"Since Chance the Snapper is going to be heading to a new home soon, we wanted a way for everyone to be able to bring a mini Chance into their home, and a bobblehead is the perfect way to do that," said Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. "We encourage Chance's fans to snap up a bobblehead during the presale as production is starting now and a limited number will be produced."
