Suspect Stabs Man's Face On CTA Bus: Police

A man took out a knife and cut a fellow passenger on the West Side, police said.

CHICAGO — A man stabbed a CTA bus passenger Wednesday in the Austin neighborhood, police said. The Chicago Police Department has released surveillance images of the suspect.

The suspect fell asleep on the passenger at about 4:15 p.m. in the 300 block of North Cicero Avenue. When the passenger tried to push the man off, he pulled out a knife and cut the victim on the face and hand, according to police.

The suspect then ran off the bus and boarded another CTA bus, which went south on Cicero Avenue.

The suspect is described as 20-30 years old, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds and wearing a red and black jacket, a blue and red hat and black pants.
