Wheaton Makes List Of Best Places To Live In U.S.

Wheaton was praised for its thriving economy and what Livability called a "downtown renaissance."

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton was recently named one of the Best Place to Live in the U.S. by Livability.com. The city came in at #48 of 100, ranking ahead of Pasadena, Salt Lake City, and Naperville.

Livability praised the city's "downtown renaissance" and its "strong economy," noting Wheaton's median income is around $120,000. Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital and Clinics, Wheaton College, and the Illinois Institute of Technology also got nods as some of the amenities that put Wheaton on the list.

Describing what it's like to live in Wheaton, Livability wrote, "Wheaton residents enjoy the perks of a tight-knit community where people take care of each other."

Livability's list ranked 100 best small to mid-sized cities in the U.S. by weighing several different factors, including economy, education, housing, and health. The list was compiled using information from an annual Livability survey and data from market research firm Ipsos.
