Former Northwestern Coach Sells Wilmette Home at a Loss
Bill Carmody, who was fired last year as basketball coach, got $1.28 million for the home.
Former Northwestern University basketball coach Bill Carmody sold his Wilmette home last week for $1.28 million, which is 13 percent less than he and his wife bought it for in 2000, Crain’s Chicago Business reports.
The 5,200-square-foot-home had “layout flaws,” the agent told Crain’s. The home, built in 1919, sold for $1.45 million in 2000, according to its listing on Zillow.
Carmody was fired last year after 13 seasons yielded no trips to the NCAA tournament.
