Lakefront Wilmette Home Sells For $7.5 Million
A Linden Avenue home now has the No. 1 and No. 2 highest priced sales in the history of Wilmette.

WILMETTE, IL - A Linden Avenue home that was sold this week is the second highest priced sale in the history of the village, only trailing itself when it was last sold in 2008. The $7.5 million sale of the lakefront home at 15 Linden Ave. tied a sale in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood for the highest priced home purchase made during 2017, according to a report from Crain's Chicago.
The sellers paid $9 million for the home nine years ago. There have only been two other homes sold for $7 million or more in Wilmette in the time since, Crain's reports.
The property was listed in 2015 for $10.9 million, and since then it saw two million-dollar price cuts. In June, the listing price was lowered to $8.5 million.
