The Village Board approved ordinances recommended by the Village Historic Preservation Commission establishing landmark certification for two different properties located at 1027 Meadow Avenue and 470 Vernon Avenue.
The home at 1027 Meadow, pictured, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1915 and is known as the Ross House. The property owners’ restoration of the home began in 2010 and continues to the present which includes reconstructing the original entry and other original features.

The home at 470 Vernon Avenue is known as the Dr. Theodore Davis House and was designed in 1958. The Davis’ commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design their home. While Wright assigned the project to his associate Dennis Blair, he assisted with oversight of the construction and landscape until his death in 1959. The property owner plans to restore the home while maintaining its original integrity without alterations.
