Former Blackhawks Player Sells Home in Northfield

"Maybe we would have sold it for more" if people knew he was a Blackhawk: wife.

NORTHFIELD, IL - A name familiar only to longtime and die-hard fans of the Chicago Blackhawks sold his home in Northfield last week.

Reg Kerr unloaded his home on Birchwood Lane for $1.49 million, according to a Crain’s Chicago report. Kerr, who purchased the home in 2003, played for the Blackhawks from 1977 to 1982.

Kerr and his wife, Teresa listed to home in May for $1.65 million. The price was lowered to less than $1.6 million in September.

"Maybe we would have sold it for more if we'd said he was a Blackhawk,” Teresa said.

Kerr is the owner of R.J.Kerr, Inc., an office supply company based in Forest Park.
