Former Chicago Bears Linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer Sells Winnetka Home

WOW House: The ex-NFL player, now working on virtual reality, and his wife sold their house for $1.3 million and plan to move to Nashville.

WINNETKA, IL — Retired Chicago Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer and his wife Sharon sold their Winnetka home last month for $1.325 million. The 2001-built home includes five bedrooms and 4.5 baths in more than 3,500 square feet on a 8,850 square-foot lot. Constructed in cedar and stone, the property includes 10-foot first floor ceilings, fireplaces in both the living and dining room and a fenced backyard with a bluestone patio.

They bought the house back in 2008 for $1.44 million and listed it this March for $1.399 million. The property, on Ash Street just north of Willow Road, was sold June 20.

The Hillenmeyers have decided to move back to his home town of Nashville, Tennessee to be closer to family members, the Chicago Tribune's Elite Street reported. The 36-year-old ex-Bear is now head of strategic partnerships for a virtual reality training firm after earning an MBA from Northwestern University between 2003 and 2010 while playing in the NFL, according to the paper.
