Former CME Chair’s Glencoe Home on Market with $1M Price Cut
The 17-room, mid-century modern home has a unique floor plan.
Former Chicago Mercantile Exchange chairman Leo Melamed and his wife, Betty, have relisted their Glencoe home for $2.49 million, which is about a million less than the original 2012 asking price, according to an article in Crain’s Chicago Business.
The 17-room home was designed by architect Edward Dart in the 1960s, and features unusually shaped rooms, lots of earthen materials inside and out and a bomb shelter, according to a Chicago Magazine video tour of the home, which you can watch above.
