Harold Ramis' Widow Seeks to Sell Couple's Glencoe Mansion

Erica Ramis seeks more than $2.5 million for the home of the comedy great.

The widow of Harold Ramis, a nationally known comedy director, actor and writer, has placed the couple’s Glencoe mansion up for sale.

The 15-room, vine-covered home with six bedrooms on 8,357 square feet was listed at $2.599 million last week by Erica Ramis, according to the Glencoe News.

Ramis, who died last year at age 69, was a Chicagoan known for co-writing classic comedies such as “Stripes,” “Caddyshack,” “Groundhog Day,” and “Ghostbusters.”

The Ramises paid $1.901 million for it in 1996.
