Mansion Goes on Market for $10.5M, Becoming Winnetka’s 2nd Priciest Listing

The mansion was owned by the Buck family for 30 years and, since last year, by a private-equity executive.

A 13-room Winnetka mansion sitting on 1.7 acres along the lake went on the market this week for $10.5 million, making it the second priciest listing in Winnetka and the seventh highest in the Chicago suburbs, according to an article in the Chicago Tribune.

The home is owned by private-equity executive Jeffrey Quicksilver and his wife, who are the beneficiaries of a land trust that bought the home in 2013 from Carry Buck and her son, Jack. The home had been in the Buck family for 30 years.

Winnetka’s priciest listing is Le Grand Reve, on the market for $18.75 million. The sellers recently sweetened the pot by offering a $250,000 bonus to the real estate agent who brings a successful buyer to the table.
