The six-bedroom French Provincial-style estate sits on a 0.9-acre lot on the bluffs beside the Winnetka-Glencoe border at the end of a private lane.

The home's kitchen also boasts views of the water, and a breakfast room leads to a staircase down to the private beach. According to the home's listing, there are hand-beveled walnut floors, custom cabinetry and moldings throughout the 17-room home.

The home includes a 12-seat theater room, an elevator, an indoor pool, hot tub, six interior fireplaces, a wood-carved bar, an exercise room, a dark room, a library and an outdoor grill.

The Whitebridge Hill Road property was first listed for $9.75 million in February 2016. According to the Cook County Assessor, its 2017 estimated market value was $6,734,950.

On Tuesday, the asking price was lowered to just under $9 million.
