Sheridan Road Home Sold for More Than $6 Million

A Winnetka home described as “an absolute sculpture” sold for $6.1 million last week.

“The details are exquisite,” said @properties agent John Baylor said of the 1927-built Sheridan Road home in a Crain’s Chicago Business article, noting the hand-worked plaster treatment on walls, barrel-vaulted ceilings in the living room and master bedroom.

A six-car garage is concealed beneath the driveway.

The new owners “will continue to live in the home as it was built, not tear it down,” Baylor said.

The home had been listed for $7 million by sellers Richard and Patty Kent last month.

The sale was the highest price recorded in Winnetka since September, when another Sheridan Road home sold for the same amount.
