Winnetka Home of Famed Journalist Sells for Nearly $2 Million
Henry Demarest Lloyd's Winnetka mansion has sold for nearly $2 million, reports Chicago Magazine.
The 1855 Winnetka home of legendary journalist Henry Demarest Lloyd, who was a Chicago Tribune editorialist and an advocate for socialist reforms, sold last week for a whopping $1.9 million, according to ChicagoMag.com.
The historic home, now located at 830 Sheridan Rd., was originally built next to a Winnetka shoreline inn called the Wayside and was later moved twice, according to the story.
