The Woodridge Special Events Committee (WSEC) invites all Woodridge residents to the 45h Annual Fourth of July Picnic to be held on July 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Castaldo Park on 71st St in Woodridge. There will be a performance by The Music Company and free pony and train rides for the small children. Hot dogs, brats, chips, pop, water, and ice cream treats will be available for a nominal charge. Beer is also available for adults. For those who want to avoid the long line for food tickets at the start of the picnic, advanced ticket sales will take place on July 1st and 2nd, from noon to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the Village Hall. The Committee relies on fellow residents each year to jump in and volunteer for a two-hour shift to serve food and beverages. If you would like to help, contact Chairperson Ron Dilger at (630) 963-4262.
