2016's Trick-or-Treating Hours in West Suburbs

Are you ready for the sugar overload?

Halloween is just around the corner, and trick-or-treating comes with the territory. This year’s trick-or-treating hours for the western suburbs have been released, so start prepping your costumes and candy.

All hours mandated below are true for Monday, Oct. 31 only. The sun is predicted to set at 5:45 p.m. on Halloween this year.

Elmhurst: 3:30 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.

Downers Grove: Downers Grove doesn’t have mandated hours. The Downers Grove Police Department, though, recommends going door-to-door during daylight hours.

La Grange: 3 p.m. — 8 p.m.

Darien: Darien doesn't have an ordinance mandating hours. Similarly to Downers Grove, police recommend that young children end their trick-or-treating when the sun goes down.Western Springs: 3 p.m. — 8 p.m.

Hinsdale: The Village of Hinsdale doesn’t set trick-or-treat hours, but reminds its residents to stay safe and smart.

Woodridge: Woodridge hasn’t released official hours at this point, but historically have recommended the guideline of 3 p.m. — 7 p.m. If Woodridge announces official hours, we will update and let you know.

Oak Park: 3 p.m. — 7 p.m.
