2021 Woodridge Special Events Committee Joel Kagann Scholarship

The Woodridge Special Events Committee (WSEC) is once again sponsoring their annual scholarship to honor its founder, Joel Kagann. The award will be presented to two (2) current eighth grade students living in Woodridge, based on his/her community service involvement. The award will pay $500 for both winner’s registration fees for his/her first year in high school. Joel Kagann, founder of the Woodridge Special Events Committee, was an active member of the Woodridge Community for over 50 years. His entire life was dedicated to serving others in the community. The WSEC continues to honor his service through this scholarship. Students can be nominated by their school, the service organizations(s) with whom they served or through self-nomination. ANY eighth grader who has helped out in the community is eligible. Please call 630-963-1975 for an application form and it will be mailed to you. As a convenience, forms are also available in the School Offices of Jefferson Junior High School and St. Scholastica Parish School. Nominations must be received by March 5, 2021 and the two winners will be notified by April 23, 2021.
