3 Arrested During Woodridge Labor Day 'Drive Sober' Campaign
The Labor Day crackdown was part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge police made three arrests and issued 56 tickets during its Labor Day crackdown for the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. In a news release, police spokesperson James Hoff said the police force put in 43 extra hours of work throughout the Labor Day campaign, which ran from Aug. 16 to Sept. 3.
"Through the Labor Day enforcement effort, we helped to make our roads safer and spread the word that preventing impaired driving is a matter of 'Life or Death,'" Woodridge Police Deputy Chief Tom Stefanson said in a statement.
The ongoing Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns are funded and administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the National Highway Traffic Administration.
