A Woodridge resident found the lost puppy on Dec. 29, and Anderson immediately connected with the dog, and helped.

The puppy drummed up a lot of attention after Woodridge police posted a Facebook update looking for his owner. The pup's owner was never found, but he was eventually adopted by the family who named him Bógdan, which translates to "gift from God" in Polish.
