Armed Robbery, $700 Worth of Merchandise Stolen from Kohl's: Woodridge Police

Take a look at what's been happening this past week in Woodridge.

The below items made appearances on last week's Woodridge police blotter. As a reminder, an arrest doesn't constitute a finding of guilt.

Armed robbery

  • A suspect described as a Hispanic male in his 30’s reportedly entered Los Arcos at 7451 Woodward Ave. Nov. 26, implied he had a gun and demanded cash from an employee. Police haven’t disclosed further information yet.

Retail theft

  • Debra Rudnik, 56, of Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove was arrested and charged with retail theft Dec. 1 when she was caught stealing $736.57 worth of merchandise from the Kohl’s on W. 75th Street.

Car burglaries

  • Someone broke into a locked, parked van on the 7300 block of Woodward Avenue and stole two toolboxes filled with hand tools. The total loss is estimated at $300, and the theft is believed to have taken place between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 25.
  • Another burglary occurred between 8 p.m. Nov. 25 and 8 a.m. Nov. 27 when someone broke into a parked vehicle on Helens Way Court and stole around $150 in cash and coins.
