Blast at the Library Cookie Bash!

Cookies, sprinkles, gum drops and chocolate made for a sweet seasonal celebration for Woodridge families at the Woodridge Library

Kids of all ages iced, sprinkled and ate more than 500 sugar and gingerbread cookies, packed the Mahlke Meeting Room for a funny puppet show, scoured the Children's Department on a gingerbread scavenger hunt, and made their way down a colorful path in the Giant Gum Drop Game during the December 8 Gingerbread Cookie Bash.

The joy of decorating cookies together and searching for the elusive Gingerbread Boy was experienced by more than 1200 people at the bash, which brought together young Woodridge families with a diversity of family holiday traditions.

The Woodridge Library looks forward to the New Year, which will bring with it the "I Love Dinosaurs Week" in February and a new "Under the Sea Summer Reading" celebration in June.
