Bolingbrook Teen Killed In Crash Near Woodridge
Police say the teen's car hit a tree and flipped upside down before catching on fire.
WOODRIDGE, IL — A teen died from his injuries after the car he was driving hit a tree near a forest preserve just outside of Woodridge late Tuesday. The victim was identified as David Price, 18, of Bolingbrook, DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen told Patch Thursday.
Police say Price was driving north on Greene Road near 79th Street when his car hit a tree around 11:45 p.m. The impact caused the car to flip over and catch fire, DuPage County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Justin Kmitch told Patch. Officers from the sheriff's office and nearby Greene Valley Forest Preserve shattered the car's front window to pull Price from the vehicle.
Price was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
