The celebration will include a viewing of the moon landing footage and moon-themed activities.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Public Library has planned a special event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The event, planned for July 17, will include a viewing of footage from the lunar landing, in addition to other moon-inspired activities.

A NASA Solar System Ambassador will be on hand to answer any questions. If the weather cooperates, visitors will be able to head outside and peer through telescopes to get their own close-up view of the moon.
