Chicago Wolves Star Hague Delights Fans at the Woodridge Library

Winter Reading Program at Woodridge Public Library

Hard core hockey fans young and old grilled Chicago Wolves star Nic Hague at a "meet and greet" event at the Woodridge Public Library on January 8. Hague handled questions about his hockey experiences and skills with ease and answered questions about his favorite books, telling the crowd that he has always been a reader. A young fan surprised him by asking "Are you married?" to which he replied, "No, I'm 20!" drawing laughs from the audience.

Hague went on to show off the hockey gear he wears with the help of a young fan who tried on each piece of the 6'6" player's uniform and equipment. Wolves memorabilia and autographs were given out and the kids in attendance were urged to "read to succeed" and take part in the Wolves winter reading program of the same name, offered in partnership with local public libraries throughout the Chicago area.

Children can stop by the Woodridge Public Library throughout January to pick up a book log and join the program: there are no costs or library card requirements.
