College of DuPage Offering Free English Language, Citizenship Classes in Woodridge

The classes start at the end of the month.

The College of DuPage is offering free English language and citizenship classes in Woodridge starting at the end of January, and enrollment is only open for another couple of weeks.

Placement testing for the classes starts next Monday, Jan. 23 and ends that Wednesday. The first class meets Jan. 30, and the last day to enroll in the program is Feb. 6.

The goal of the program, according to a flyer, is to learn reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, improve career opportunities and prepare for college. Classes will meet in the Woodridge Park District at 2600 Center Drive on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-11:25 a.m. each week.

Testing days are Jan. 23 and Jan. 25, at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. both days. Testing will take about three hours.
