Coronavirus Case Confirmed At AMLI Apartments In Woodridge

AMLI staff released an email to residents on Wednesday, confirming that one resident had self-reported a confirmed case of coronavirus.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Staff with the AMLI at Seven Bridges apartment complex sent an email to residents on Wednesday, saying that one resident had self-reported a confirmed case of coronavirus. The family, whose name and location within the apartment complex is withheld to protect their privacy and safety, is currently in quarantine.

"The test result was received late yesterday and the resident and family remain in quarantine," the AMLI email said. "We want to thank this resident for self-quarantining at first sign of illness and for alerting us promptly of the results."

Patch contacted AMLI staff to inquire whether they had alerted DuPage County or Woodridge village authorities about the case, but did not immediately receive an answer.

All Illinois residents are reminded to continue practicing social distancing and to stay at home unless going out is unavoidable. Washing hands regularly and sanitizing high-use surfaces are also effective means of slowing the virus' spread.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the DuPage County Health Department listed 9 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Woodridge, among 346 cases and 10 deaths in the county.
