Two-Alarm Fire in Woodridge Extinguished Monday Evening: Police

Three firefighters were injured in the Monday blaze.

Woodridge, IL — A two-alarm apartment building fire in Woodridge was extinguished around 6 p.m. June 28.

Three firefighters sustained minor injuries while battling the blaze in the 3000 block of Roberts Drive, according to the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District. No civilians were injured.

The first alarm called emergency personnel to the eight-unit, multi-family residence at 4:53 p.m. The fire caused significant damage to the roof and the second floor. The building's residents have all been displaced.

About 15 fire departments and 80 firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, the cause of which is still under investigation, according to the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District.
