Custodial Worker's Recognition Day: Woodridge Shout Outs

If you know a custodial worker, be sure to thank them Friday — and whenever you get the chance in the future.

WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge community members are sharing their appreciation for employees who work tirelessly and selflessly to keep businesses, schools and other properties clean, updated, and in top condition ahead of National Custodial Worker's Recognition Day. The day to celebrate these hardworking team members is Friday, and with all the hard work they're doing during the coronavirus pandemic, it couldn't have come at a better time. The following community members are being recognized:

Sheri Walker, an LRC Assistant at Thomas Jefferson Jr. High (JJH) in Woodridge, shared her appreciation for fellow staff member Kyle Hansen with Patch.

Hansen is the head custodian (days) at the school, who Walker described to Patch as amazing person she's had the pleasure to work with for more than 10 years.

"He is always pleasant and willing to help in any situation, goes above and beyond in every aspect of his job, has a great sense or humor and is just a pleasure to work with," Walker told Patch.

Sandra Fiaccato, from the Waterbury Condominiums Association's Management Office and fellow condo owner, is recognizing the Q&Q Cleaning Service ladies. Fiaccato told Patch these women keep the hallways and office sparkling at the Spring Street properties.

The women are "very much appreciated," Fiaccato told Patch.
