D58 Board Appoints Christopher Heppner to Complete Unexpired Term

During its regular meeting Sept. 15, the Downers Grove Grade School District 58 Board of Education unanimously appointed Christopher Heppner to complete the unexpired term of James Paul, who moved away from the area in August 2015.

Heppner was selected from a pool of six applicants interviewed by Board members.

Heppner currently serves on the Board’s Financial Advisory Committee, an appointment he’s held since 2013. He’s resided in the District for 15 years and is the father of five children: three who completed K-8 in the district and two who still attend District 58 schools.

Board President John Cooper swore in Heppner at the beginning of Tuesday’s regular Board of Education meeting.
