WOODRIDGE, IL — Dozens of kids and their parents came out to Ide's Legacy Park for the Woodridge Community Roll Call Tuesday. The event, which aims to bring residents and local cops together, was the most well-attended roll call in the village's history, according to Woodridge Police Department spokesperson James Hoff.

The day stayed sunny and warm as kids learned about crime prevention and police safety and watched a squad car demonstration. Some lucky families in attendance even took home White Sox memorabilia and other giveaway prizes, Hoff said.
