Dr. Glenn DeWeirdt is honored by the Int'l College of Dentists

The International College of Dentists (ICD) has been Honoring the World’s Leading Dentists Since 1920™ with 12,000 members (designated as Fellows) in over 122 countries. Fellowship in the College is by invitation only and is granted in recognition of an individual dentist’s outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.
Prior to being recognized as a Fellow of the ICD, the candidate’s qualifications and achievements are evaluated by a series of credential committees in order to insure that he or she is deserving of this honor and will live up to the ICD motto of “Recognizing Service as well as the Opportunity to Serve”. Once initiated, a Fellow in good standing is authorized to use the title “FICD” after his or her name. The world headquarters of the International College of Dentists is virtual and is managed by remote staff members working around the world.
Dr. Glenn DeWeirdt received his Fellows recognition this past week from the International College of Dentists and we congratulate him on this professional achievement and thank him for his dedication and service to Dentistry.
Dr. DeWeirdt founded Hobson Dental Associates in 1984 following graduation from Northwestern University Dental School. Hobson Dental Associates was conceived and founded on the basic principle of quality care at reasonable fees. It is our goal and objective to serve our patients in a clean, friendly, relaxed, and comfortable environment."

Dr. DeWeirdt is one of a handful (less than 2%) of general dentists who routinely use the dental operating microscope for procedures. He is an active lecturer on this topic and is a frequent speaker at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting and dental study clubs in the area. He has also lectured at the University of Iowa Dental School. He is a consultant to Zeiss Meditec, an international leader in advanced optics, and a key opinion leader and speaker for Dentsply Midwest and Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties. The world's largest manufacturer of dental equipment and supplies.
Dr. DeWeirdt is also committed to education. He is a part-time faculty member at Midwestern University School of Dental Medicine in the pre-doctoral clinic. He teaches general dentistry in the Multi-Discipline Clinic located in Downers Grove.
