Fireworks Seized After Loud Noises Near Una Drive In Woodridge

WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge police seized several fireworks Saturday after reports of suspicious loud noises near Una Drive behind the Woodland Ridge Apartment Complex. When officers got to the scene, they say they saw a car leaving the area.

A car matching the description was later spotted and stopped by officers. Woodridge police said in a Facebook post that they "located a large amount of illegal fireworks inside of the vehicle."

The people inside the car were charged with illegal possession of fireworks.

Police said, "This area has been a source of numerous fireworks complaints, and we hope that this incident helps quiet things down."
