First Hole-in-One of the Season Recorded at Village Greens of Woodridge

Don Upton of Downers Grove aced hole number 4 on April 25

The first hole-in-one of the year at Village Greens of Woodridge was recorded by Don Upton of Downers Grove on Tuesday, April 25th. Don aced hole #4 with a 6-iron from 142 yards for his first career hole-in-one. The feat was witnessed by Web Peboontom, Chuck Battaglia, and Bob Humphries. All 4 gentlemen were playing a weekly event in the Legends of Village Greens golf league. As a result of his ace, Mr. Upton will claim at least a share of the yearly $500 bonus pool offered by the Legends golf league for any hole-in-ones.

“The staff of Village Greens congratulates Mr. Upton on his tremendous accomplishment. Hole #4 was playing into the wind today and it took a wonderful shot to get a hole-in-one. We’re always excited when someone makes a hole-in-one, especially when it’s their first ever. It’s a shot he’ll always remember”, says Brandon Evans, General Manager of Village Greens.
