'Focus on Nature' Photo Contest Winners: Woodridge Public Library
The library said winning photographs ranged from a majestic owl to a bold coyote, a well-loved bridge in Woodridge, to glorious sand dunes.
WOODRIDGE, IL — Woodridge Library announced Monday the winners for the Focus on Nature photo contest. According to a news release sent to Patch, the photo contest proved to be very popular with local photographers, including amateurs and professionals. Winners were chosen in over 11 categories.
Because of the popularity of the contest, variety of subjects and high quality of entries, it was impossible to choose a single winner, according to the news release. Staff went through over 500 entries, selecting winning photographs that "beautifully and powerfully captured nature," the news release stated.
According to the library, winning photographs ranged from a majestic owl to a bold coyote, a well-loved bridge in Woodridge to distant, glorious sand dunes.
