Hearts for Heroes Luminated Walk to Honor Essential Workers

Support your hero by decorating a luminary bag for the Woodridge Park District's February 26th event

Show your appreciation for our heroes while enjoying a luminated walk! The Woodridge Park District's Hearts for Heroes Luminary Walk from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, February 26 is open to public and no registration is required. Park at the Fred C. Hohnke Community Center, 2600 Center Drive, and follow the illuminated path full of paper lanterns to Lake Harriet.

Want to dedicate a luminary bag to your favorite hero? Luminary bags can be picked up at the ARC front desk to decorate with markers/stickers/paint and include a shout-out to your child’s teacher, a healthcare worker or anyone who is a hero in your life. Please return the bags by 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 25 to be included in the walk (while supplies last). If you would like to keep your bag to display at your home, please pick it up at the end of the event. Call(630)353-3400 for questions.
